Novozymes Biologicals

Novozymes Biologicals, Inc., a world-wide market leader in the development and production of naturally occurring microorganisms for industrial, consumer, and agriculture uses, expanded their manufacturing and research facilities in the scenic Roanoke County Center for Research & Technology. The first phase of the expansion included 25,000sf of research laboratory space and office facilities. The 7,000sf of laboratory included heated and cooled storage lockers, sub – zero (CO2) freezers, fume hoods, respiratory research space and a photographic darkroom. Additional research areas included a library resource room and a computer lab. Included outside of the building is a 1,000sf green house and 40,000sf of test research plots.
